Watch The Undercoat Come Out
Real dogs, real shedding season, no cuts. This is what one session actually looks like.
Same Dog. One Session Apart.
Matted, tangled, shedding everywhere. Then twenty minutes with the dual-sided head.
Two Sides. One Full Groom.
Most brushes do one job badly. This one flips between two, in the order a groomer would actually use them.

1
9 wide teeth
Open the mats
Start on the dematting side. The wider spacing lets each blade slide into a knot and cut it apart from the inside instead of dragging the whole tangle against the skin. Work in short strokes and let the blade do the work.
Short strokes -

17 fine teeth
Lift the loose fur
Flip to the deshedding side. The tighter spacing reaches past the topcoat and pulls out dead undercoat, dander and trapped dirt. This is the side that stops fur arriving on your couch in the first place.
Long, even passes -

Rounded tips
Clear it and go
The outer tip of every blade is rounded, so it glides along the skin while only the inner edge cuts hair. Loose fur collects on the head in one clump. Pull it off, bin it, rinse the blades and stand it up to dry.

Novario Supply vs Ordinary Brushes
Every grooming brush looks the same in a photo. Here is where they stop being the same.

Everything You Might Be Wondering
Which side do I use first?
Start with the wide-tooth dematting side to break open any knots, then flip to the fine-tooth deshedding side to pull out the loose undercoat. Doing it the other way round means the fine side snags on mats it cannot get through.
Will the steel blades hurt my pet?
The outer tip of every blade is rounded, so it glides along the skin while only the inner edge cuts through hair. Use light pressure and short strokes on the first few sessions. If your pet has never been groomed with a dematting tool, go slowly and stop before they get restless.
Does it work on cats too?
Yes, though cats have thinner skin than dogs, so use noticeably lighter pressure. It works best on medium and long-haired cats. For a short-haired cat a soft rubber brush is usually the better tool.
What coat types is it best for?
Medium to long coats and double-coated breeds get the most out of it. Golden retrievers, german shepherds, huskies, doodles, collies and similar. On very short single coats there is simply less undercoat to remove, so the difference is smaller.
Will it cut or thin my pet coat?
It removes dead undercoat and breaks apart mats. It is not a clipper and will not change the length of the healthy topcoat. On a badly matted coat some hair will come away with the mat, which is normal and unavoidable with any dematting tool.
How do I clean it?
Pull the collected fur off the blades by hand, rinse the head under warm water and dry it before storing. Do not soak the handle. Drying it properly is what keeps the steel from spotting over time.
How often should I use it?
Once or twice a week is enough for most coats. During heavy shedding seasons in spring and autumn you may want to go three times a week. Daily use on the same spot is not necessary and can irritate the skin.
How long does shipping take?
